Random English Stuff (Pt. 2)

Didn’t think I was gonna do another one of these right away, but I just wrote a thing about i-a-u verbs (sing-sang-sung, spin-span-spun, think-thank-thunk, and so on) and discovered a bunch of i-o-i_en words!

Rise-rose-risen
Drive-drove-driven
Ride-rode-ridden
Stride-strode-stridden
Strive-strove-striven
Write-wrote-written
Dive-dove-diven
You get the idea. It’s like an ABA pattern, plus the ‘n’.

-Here’s the same pattern (ABA+n) with different sounds:
Bid-bade-bidden
Draw-drew-drawn
Eat-ate-eaten
Grow-grew-grown
Give-gave-given
Know-knew-known
See-saw-seen
Shake-shook-shaken
Slay-slew-slain
Strike-struck-stricken
Take-took-taken
Throw-threw-thrown

-And than slightly different (ABB+n), but same idea:
Awake-awoke-awoken
Bear-bore-born
Bite-bit-bitten
Choose-chose-chosen
Do-did-done
Fly-flew-flown (Three different ones here)
Forget-forgot-forgotten
Freeze-froze-frozen
Lie-lay-lain
Speak-spoke-spoken
Steal-stole-stolen
Swear-swore-sworn
Tear-tore-torn
Tread-trod-trodden
Wake-woke-woken
Wear-wore-worn
Weave-wove-woven
